As PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reports from Vilnius, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis noted that one of the highest rates of harassment cases including murder of 30 journalists over last 6 years has been recorded in OSCE region.

“Our goal is to ensure safety of journalists, access to information and support investigative journalism,” Ažubalis said. OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic, in turn, noted that journalists pay a high price for a wish to publish the truth.

According to Mijatovic, Journalists’ safety guide is designed to improve the situation and search for proper solutions to the problem.
