PM Sargsyan calls against politicizing Prosperous Armenia members’ arrests

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan called against politicizing the issue of series of arrests of Prosperous Armenia coalition party members for drug trafficking.

There are criminal cases that Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) members are condemned for. I find it inappropriate to politicize arrests and criminal cases, the issue having no political context,” PM Sargsyan said.

Recently a number of Prosperous Armenia members were detained for drug trafficking, including head of the party’s Jermuk division Armen Hovhannisyan.

As for arrests of Armen Muradyan and Masis town administration employee Artur Ghazaryan, Prosperous Armenia party’s press service denied their being PAP members.
