Hay Dat demands French FM’s explanations as to Fassier statement

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hay Dat French Bureau addressed a letter to French Foreign Ministry requesting a meeting with the FM Alain Juppe.

“With OSCE MG co-chair Bernard Fassier as a Foreign Ministry employee, we though it appropriate to ask the Minister for explanations as to the co-chair’s statement,” the letter said.

However, as Hay Dat French Bureau told PanARMENIAN.Net no comment concerning Fassier’s statement has been provided, nor was the address responded.

OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Bernard Fassier, soon to be replaced by Jacques Faure, stated, “I understand the suffering Azerbaijan must feel, with its lands occupied. As a French man, I know all too well what the occupation is.”

The statement was made during Dec 8 round-table discussion titled, Conflict between Armenian and Azerbaijan, Forgotten Conflict.

As Hay Dat stressed, the statement above testifies to the co-chair’s biased position in conflict settlement.
