 Armenian NA speaker issues gratitude message to his French counterpart December 23, 2011 - 20:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today, December 23, Armenian National Assembly speaker Samvel Nikoyan issued a message to French National Assembly President Bernard Accoyer regarding adoption of the bill penalizing Armenian Genocide denial. “Through passing of the draft law criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial French National Assembly once more proved its adherence to human values,” the message runs. Mr. Nikoyan expressed hope for the Senate to follow the suit of National Assembly, with France completing the list of countries legally claiming that crimes against humanity have no expiration term. “Respectable Mr. President, on behalf of Armenian National Assembly, we express gratitude to all those, who struggle against repetition of crimes against humanity, all those who attach importance to justice and human values, and finally those, who aspire for regional peace, elimination of demarcation lines and reconciliation between nations,” the massage ran.
