Heritage briefs PACE on Armenia’s electoral system

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage opposition party issued a message to PACE monitoring co-rapporteurs on Armenia John Prescott and Axel Fischer justifying Armenia’s full shift to proportional electoral system.

The message was delivered during a meeting with John Prescott at Armenian National Assembly, Heritage press service reported.

Armenian National Assembly includes 131 parliamentarians, with 41 MPs elected through majority system; 90 MPs - through proportional system.

On December 27, Heritage and ARF Dashnaktsutyun opposition parties issued a joint statement urging for a full shift to proportional electoral system.
