Armenia to participate in Eurovision Young Musicians 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - As an active member of European Broadcasting Union and the official broadcaster of Eurovision Song Contest, Public TV Company of Armenia is competent to select this year ESC’s Armenian representative and a song either by National selection(viewers / jury) or Internal selection.

Taking into consideration ESC 2012’s feature AMPTV decided to do the selection internally.

The selection will be done by a special committee formed by The Public Television and Radio Council of RA in which musicians, TV specialists and musical producers will be included. The name of ESC 2012 Armenian representative and the song will be published till March 18, 2012.

For the first time AMPTV will participate in Eurovision Young Musicians 2012 contest, which will be held on May in Vienna. 14 countries are taking part in this year contest: Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia and Ukraine. Eurovision Young Musicians is one of the EBU’s big annual projects in which 15-20 year old young people specialized in classical music are competing. The name of Armenian representative will be published till March 15, 2012, eurovision.am reported.
