Meanwhile, Hrant Melkumyan and Vladimir Akopian scored wins over Santosh Vidit (India) and Mikhail Ulibin (Russia) respectively. The festival prize fund totals 125.000 euro. The three tournaments (A, B, C) are be held in 9 rounds in line with contenders’ ranking points. Rankings above 2550 are required for the tournament group A, which usually brings together extra class chess players.
