Diners Club payment system to enter Armenian market

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leading international company Diners Club will enter the Armenian market of payment systems in two months, chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia said.

Following payment systems currently operate in Armenia: ArCa, Visa, Money Card and American Express.

Summarizing outcomes of 2011, Ashot Osipyan noted that 30% growth was recorded in Armenian market of plastic cards in 2011 compared with 2010.

According to the banker, 2011 also saw 39% and 25% increase in the number of POS terminals and ATMs.
