Police takes action on election frauds at Hrazdan mayor raceFebruary 22, 2012 - 18:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hrazdan police department of Armenia’s Kotayk province took action on seven messages on election violation during Hrazdan mayor race on February 12. 4 messages out of 7 are based on media publications, according to RA Prosecutor General’s pres service. Current mayor of the town of Hrazdan, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) candidate Aram Danielyan won the Feb 12 mayoral race. He garnered 13079 votes, while Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc member Sasoun Mikaelyan gained 11506 votes, according to Central Election Commission website. It should be noted that offices of Sasoun Mikaelyan and Aram Danielyan spoke about violations on the election day, each blaming the other for that. Caucasus Institute director said that the past year was not remarkable for outstanding foreign policy events in Armenia. Yerkir: serious reshuffle is expected at the Republican Party of Armenia after Tsarukyan’s refusal to join coalition. Zhamanak: the bureau of former Foreign Minister, however, refused to reply further questions on Oskanian’s plans.
