Tough race among RPA ladies - paper

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to the new Electoral Code of Armenia, proportional electoral lists of the parties should include female candidates in each 5th place of the list, starting from the second name of the list.

This means that the first lady candidate will take the 6th place of the list. As 168 Zham paper reports, there is a tough competition among the female members of the Republican Party of Armenia. Hermine Naghdalian, chairperson of RPA Women’s Council, deputy Karine Achemyan and Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan run for this 6th place.

When asked who will be the first lady of their party, the vice-speaker of the National Assembly, RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told the paper’s reporter: “The party has not yet discussed its proportional lists and issues related to it.”
