Armenian women’s weighting team will miss European Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - The head coach of the Armenian women’s weightlifting team Artashes Nersisyan noted that Meline Daluzyan and Hripsime Khurshudyan will start training for the Smmer Olympic Games from March 5.

“We will hold two-day team practice sessions before the Olympics, with three-day breaks in between them. Armenia will miss the European championships in Turkish city of Antalya, as we have no weightlifters strong enough to vie for a medal. Meline and Hripsime won’t manage to recover strength for the Olympics if they partake in the Championships,” Mr. Nersisyan said.

The Armenian weightlifting championships were over last week, with 30 sportsmen participating in them.
