Armenia’s brandy production grows by 50,1% Jan 2012March 1, 2012 - 15:29 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - 1026,4 thousand liters of brandy was produced in Armenia in January 2012, with production volume growing 50,1% against the same period in 2011 (683,8 thousand liters). According to the National Statistical Service, 337,5 thousand liters of vodka was produced in the same period, production volume increasing by 27,7% against January 2011. 328,3 thousand liters of wine was produced in January 2012 against 173,1 thousand liters in 2011 (89,7% growth). During the reporting period, beer production totaled 436,2 thousand liters, growing by 37,2% against January 2011 (317,9 thousand liters). Production of champagne dropped by 82,8%, totaling 0,5 thousand liters. In January 2012, production of soft drinks in Armenia grew by 95%, totaling 3294,2 thousand liters.
