Tribeca Film Fest premieres Jason Segel's "Five-Year Engagement"![]() March 1, 2012 - 18:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Jason Segel's "Five-Year Engagement" will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 18, kicking off this year's festival, organizers and Universal Pictures said, according to The Wrap. Segal wrote the movie with his "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" director Nicholas Stoller. Segal stars and Stoller directed. Emily Blunt, Rhys Ifans, Chris Pratt and Alison Brie also star. Judd Apatow and Rodney Rothman produced. The movie opens in wide release April 27. "The Five-Year Engagement," not too surprisingly, centers on a couple's long engagement. "When Jason and I met during the production of 'Undeclared,' we couldn't have imagined that one day we would write a comedy that would open such a prestigious film festival as Tribeca," Stoller said in a written statement. "We are so honored that the festival organizers have given us this platform to premiere the film." And he joked, "To be honest, this is all just a ploy to stand on top of a building with Robert De Niro and look out over New York City at dusk." De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff founded the Tribeca Film Festival in 2001. The festival will announce its feature film slate on March 6 and 8. ![]() ![]() Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out.
