"Men in Black III" writer to direct “Boy Scouts vs. Zombies”

PanARMENIAN.Net - The "Men in Black III" writer is in negotiations to make his directorial debut on a project based on a script by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki.

Etan Cohen, one of the town's hottest comedy scribes, is in negotiations to make his directorial debut on Paramount's horror-comedy Boy Scouts vs. Zombies.

With an "it's all in the title" moniker, Boy Scouts centers on a troop that must save a group of girl scouts from a pack of zombies with designs on spoiling a camping trip.

The script was written by Carrie Evans and Emi Mochizuki and made the 2010 Black List of Hollywood's most-liked screenplays. Paramount picked it up the same year with Andy Fickman and Betsy Sullenger of Oops Doughnuts Productions, Todd Garner of Broken Road Productions and Bryan Brucks of Brucks Entertainment producing.

Cohen will supervise the writing of a new draft by Lona Williams (Drop Dead Gorgeous). Cohen is one of Ben Stiller's go-to guys for scriptwriting, working with the comic actor on Tropic Thunder, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and Stiller's latest project, The Incredible Mr. Limpet. He also worked on the forthcoming Men in Black III, The Hollywood Reported said.
