Dwayne Johnson poised to star in “Journey 3”![]() March 9, 2012 - 16:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Dwayne Johnson is in talks with New Line to star in the third "Journey" film, The Wrap reported. Johnson plays Hank in "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island." He replaced Brendan Fraser, who starred as Trevor Anderson, in the 2008 "Journey to the Center of the Earth." "Journey 2" has been the No. 1 movie at the international box office for four weekends in a row, and has taken in more than $276.5 million worldwide, compared to "Journey's" $242 million worldwide take. It has grossed $86.5 million domestically. The film, which opened internationally on Jan. 19, and domestically on Feb. 10, hasn't yet opened in Japan and some other territories. Josh Hutcherson starred in both "Journey" and "Journey 2." He also stars in Lionsgate's upcoming "The Hunger Games." According to reports, the characters played by Hutcherson and Johnson in the last installment return in "Journey 3." Director Brad Peyton and screenwriters Brian Gunn and Mark Gunn have signed on for the third film. "Journey 3" is produced by Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson and Charlotte Huggins.
