More complaints against insurance companies than banks - financial ombudsmanMarch 15, 2012 - 13:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of claims lodged to the office of the financial system mediator in Armenia has seen a rise in 2011 in terms of complaints against insurance companies. Head of the office of Armenia’s Financial System Mediator, Piruz Sargsyan told a press conference in Yerevan that their office got 62 claims against banks in 2011, 23 of them relating to credit cards, 25 to bank card deals and 11 referring to deposit deals. As to claims lodged against the insurance companies, they amounted to 68 in total, Sargsyan informed. Here claims against OSAGO prevail, totalling to 39 while KASKO counts 13. There are 2 claims on tourist visits, 2 on accidents and 2 complaints related to property insurance.
