Heritage approves parliamentary candidates list![]() March 18, 2012 - 17:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On March 18, Heritage opposition party hosted a board sitting, followed by a council session. The session focused on party strategy at the oncoming parliamentary elections, with joint candidates list approved in accordance with prior agreement with Free Democrats party. Among those nominated were Stepan Safaryan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, Armen Martirosyan, Ruben Hakobyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, Gagik Margaryan. In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Heritage spokesman Hovsep Khurshudyan refused to provide comments as to the fact that public figures, rather than current MPs, were listed first in the candidates list. As he noted, official explanations will be offered on Tuesday, March 20. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
