TURKEY TO BUILD MILITARY AIRPORT IN GEORGIA

PanARMENIAN.Net - Turkey is going to build a military airport in the Georgian town of Marneuli. As Georgian defense minister Gela Bezhuashvili told in his interview to Imedi TV company, the agreement was achieved during the recent visit of President Mikhail Saakashvili to Ankara, Arminfo agency reports. In his words, the parties also agreed on the realization of two more projects in Georgia. So, Turkey will conduct training with the officers of the 11-th brigade of the Kodzhori battalion and found a school for special military training. To remind, Turkey has already invested $6 million in the modernization of the military base of Vaziani in Georgia, where the Russian troops were earlier deployed.
