Armenia’s ARFD not discussing leaving coalition with ruling RPA

PanARMENIAN.Net - The issue of leaving the coalition with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia is off Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun's agenda, minister of territorial administration and development Davit Lokyan told reporters on Thursday, July 20, Aysor.am reports.

The ruling Republicans and the ARFD on May 11 signed a memorandum on establishing a political coalition. The agreement, signed at the presidential palace in downtown Yerevan, will remain in force until the expiration of the powers of the 6th Convocation National Assembly.

A joint session of the ARFD Bureau and the Supreme Body was held on Monday, on the sidelines of which a declaration commending the quality of the government’s work was adopted.

Commenting on speculations suggesting Dashnaktsutyun’s withdrawal from the coalition, Lokyan said “not a single word concerning the issue was uttered during the session.”

According to him, ARFD members discussed the process of their involvement in the coalition, the government’s work, priorities and reforms.
