Sociometer forecasts guaranteed passage of 7% barrier for ruling parties

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to results of public opinion poll conducted by Sociometer Independent Sociological Center, at the oncoming elections into Yerevan Council of Elders, ruling parties will have a guaranteed 7% barrier passage, among them: ruling Republican Party, Prosperous Armenia and ANC. According to Sociometer Director Aharon Adibekyan's forecasts, one place will be retained for other political forces. "This might be either Orinats Erkir or ARF Dashnaktsutyun, depending on election campaign effectiveness," Adibekyan said.

According to him, ruling parties always tend to lose 10-20% of votes at election campaign, so its hard to make inferences beforehand. "I'll announce final poll results within a week of elections, so that our clients could make necessary conclusions and take steps accordingly," Adibekyan said.

According to poll results, RPA enjoys the trust of 39% of Yerevan residents, Prosperous Armenia - 23% and ANC - 11%.
