Caucasus security discussed in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - “Situation in the Caucasus and Perspectives of Regional Security” international conference kicked off in Yerevan on the initiative of the Institute of CIS Studies on May 25.

The participants will focus on geopolitical issues and world powers’ policy towards the region, will exchange views on regional security problems, including the Armenian-Turkish normalization and Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Political analysts, experts and public figures from Russia, Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh, Georgia, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Iran, Turkey and Canada are participating.

“The organizers hoped to welcome the delegates from Azerbaijan but they did not arrive,” said Konstantin Zatulin, director of the Institute of CIS Studies.
