Lyudmila Sargsyan: military agreement with Russia restricts Armenia’s sovereignty

PanARMENIAN.Net - The recently signed agreement on extension of terms of the Russian military base deployment in Armenia proves that Russia dictates its will to the region, according to Lyudmila Sargsyan, chairperson of Social Democrat Hunchakian Party.

“This agreement restricts Armenia’s sovereignty,” Sargsyan told a news conference on September 3.

“Russia manipulates the Karabakh conflict settlement process going on in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. Anyway, talks should continue and our party will support a decision acceptable for Artsakh,” she said.

Commenting on the ANC rally scheduled for Sept. 17, Sargsyan noted that “Armenian people should unite to help the country overcome the deep political crisis.”
