Region not ready to compromise, Russian expert says

PanARMENIAN.Net - South Caucasus is a controversial region and it’s hard to come to an agreement here, according to a Russian expert.

“There is a large number of problems experts and public view from different angles,” director of the Russia and Eurasia Project at the World Security Institute said during “Problems of Security and Information Cooperation in South Caucasus” conference in Yerevan.

“The region is not ready to compromise,” he said.

For his part, editor-in-chief of Free Georgia newspaper Tato Laskhishvili said that the conference offers a good opportunity to restore information space throughout the Caucasus.
