Slovenia urges Turkey to continue rapprochement negotiations with Armenia![]() October 11, 2010 - 16:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Slovenia urges Turkey to continue rapprochement negotiations with Armenia and expedite Protocols ratification, Slovenian President stated. “To promote the rapprochement process, a trust between the two sides should be strengthened, however, taking current realities into consideration,” Danilo Turk said at the briefing in Yerevan. Dwelling on Turkey’s EU bid, the President noted, “Turkey has already received the status of an EU applicant country. However, the country makes slow progress. Every member of the EU should comply with the Union-established criteria. I believe Turkey realizes that and is ready to fulfill the required conditions,” Mr. Turk noted. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
