RA NA members commemorate 1999 parliament shooting victims

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, parliament and government members, politicians and public figures laid flowers to the monument commemorating the victims of 1999 parliament shooting victims.

“To prevent similar outrageous crimes in future, the October 27 tragedy should be completely revealed,” said Lernik Aleksanyan, member of the Republican Party of Armenia.

11 years ago, a group of 7 terrorists rushed into the chamber of the Armenian National Assembly and shot down Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, Parliament Speaker Karen Demirchyan, vice-speakers Yuri Bakhshyan and Ruben Miroyan, minister for the operative issues Leonard Petrosyan, deputies Armenak Armenakyan, Genrikh Abrahamyan and Mikael Kotanyan.
