Armenian, Russian, Azerbaijani Presidents confirm commitments to Meindorf declaration

PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting between Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Astrakhan was useful and important, Armenia’s Foreign Minister said.

“The Presidents discussed in detail the Karabakh settlement process and confirmed commitments to the Meindorf declaration. They emphasized that action, including trust building measures and ceasefire strengthening, should be taken for diplomatic and political resolution of the conflict,” Edward Nalbandian said.

He also noted that an agreement was reached on exchange of POWs and the killed.

“Foreign Ministers were instructed to continue their work and reach an agreement on the basic principles before the OSCE summit in Astana,” Nalbandian added.
