Commandos: before recognizing Karabakh independence, Armenian authorities should determine borders of the state to be recognizedNovember 3, 2010 - 16:53 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Karabakh war veteran, Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan (Commandos) expressed his position on recognition of Karabakh independence. “I support the recognition of NKR independence. However, before doing that, Armenian authorities should determine the borders of the state to be recognized, whether it’s a territory which withdrew from Azerbaijan or the one with liberated territories annexed,” he told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. “The community should be given a chance to participate in the decision. Also, Armenia’s recognition of NKR independence will allow the friendly states, such as Lebanon, Syria, Greece to follow its example.” Commandos disagreed with experts maintaining that recognition of Karabakh independence might lead to a war.
