ANC to do its utmost to gain release of opposition representatives

PanARMENIAN.Net - Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan said that the Council of Europe set a task before the Armenian leadership – to release imprisoned representatives of the opposition.

The ANC knows that the Armenian authorities are going to release opposition representatives, except for Sasun Mikayelyan and Nikol Pashinyan, Zurabyan told a rally in Yerevan.

According to him, the RA authorities want to avoid “punishment” of the European structures through it. “However, the ANC will do its utmost to gain release of all political prisoners,” said Zurabyan.

For his part, Aram Manukyan urged the Armenian authorities to release the four detained supporters of the ANC, who were brought to the central police station from Charles Aznavour Square.
