Assembly: adoption of H.Res. 252 important for U.S. administration

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Armenian Assembly of America Office in Yerevan Armina Darbinian said that irrespective of whether the Armenian Genocide resolution is brought to the House floor or not, the Assembly will continue the work with Congressmen for proper recognition of the Genocide by the United States.

“Adoption of H.Res. 252 is first of all important for the U.S. administration and the President. Recognition of the Armenian Genocide should be viewed in the context of human rights protection, the field the U.S. believes to be a priority,” she said, adding that the Assembly strongly opposes use of the Genocide issue as a tool of political gambling.
