YEREVAN PRESS SHARPLY CRITICIZE ARMENIAN FM

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, May 11. /Mediamax/. Publications of Armenian press are full of sharp criticism against the Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian today.

The reason is the fact that speaking by the "A1+" TV company on May 9 about the territories controlled by Nagorno Karabakh Republic's army, he has used the term "occupied territories".

In the article titled "Oskanian is an Armenian or Azerbaijani Minister?" the "Aravot" daily brings the comments of several political figures. The leader of the "Hayastan" deputy group Myasnik Malkhasian, particularly, says: "It is unusual that the Armenian Minister speaks about "occupation".

"Haykakan Zhamanak" Yerevan paper writes that Vardan Oskanian has fulfilled the task given him by President Kocharian. As the President is in New York now, he will decide how to react to the words of the Minister only after studying the reaction of the society and the political forces, the paper says.

"Iravounk" paper names "scandalous" the fact that Oskanian has used the term "occupied territories" on May 9, the right day when Shushi city was liberated by the Armenian forces. "Iravounk" also expresses an opinion that Minister would not use this term by chance and most likely he has done it with President's knowledge. --0--
