U.S. and Europe differ on Egypt, expert says

PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. and European political establishments do not have unified position on Egypt, according to the head of Arabic Department at Oriental Studies Institute.

As Shahen Karamanukyan noted during a discussion on social and political processes in Egypt, it’s hard to forecast the development of events in the country; however, the situation can be characterized as revolutionary.

Still, Karamanukyan said, Egypt will never be the same, as the model of controlled democracy practiced since 1952 has exhausted itself.
