ANC welcomes Egyptian opposition’s victory

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc welcomes the victory of the Egyptian people, ANC said is a statement.

“Egyptian people still have to do much for the final victory and we wish them successful resolution of all problems and election of worthy leaders, who will clear the Augean stables,” it said.

Hosni Mubarak has stepped down as president of Egypt, after weeks of protest in Cairo and other cities. The news was greeted with a huge outburst of joy and celebration by thousands in Cairo's Tahrir Square. Announcing Mubarak's resignation, Vice-President Omar Suleiman said the president had handed power to the army.
