Indian National Security Adviser to visit Armenia, sign memo on cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Secretary of the National Security Council (NSC) Arthur Baghdasaryan invited Indian National Security Adviser Shiv Shankar Menon to visit Armenia.

The two men also agreed to hold regular Armenian-Indian consultations on security matters, the RA NSC press service reported.

They also discussed a memorandum on cooperation, which is scheduled to be signed between the two countries’ national security councils during Menon’s visit to Armenia.

Baghdasaryan also met with Indian Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Sachin Pilot. During the meeting, the parties agreed to establish an Armenian-Indian center for information technologies in Yerevan.

Besides, they reached an agreement with respect to organization of a conference with participation of the two countries’ specialists, entrepreneurs and scientists dealing with high technologies.

The Secretary of the RA NSC met with Director General of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Rajiv Kumar. The two men agreed to boost bilateral economic cooperation and organize an Armenian-Indian business forum in September.
