No Armenians among victims of quake and tsunami in Japan

PanARMENIAN.Net - No Armenians suffered in the earthquake that hit Japan on March 11.

Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that currently there are 30Armenian citizens in Japan.

“We keep in touch with the citizens. They are out of danger,” said Balayan.

A massive tsunami triggered by Japan's most powerful earthquake in nearly a century on March 11 wrought devastation in northeast coastal Japan, sweeping away houses, ships and cars and set ablaze several buildings, killing over 300 people.
