RA President sends condolences to Japanese Emperor

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to Japanese Emperor Akihito on the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragedy in Japan. I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and the Japanese people over numerous human losses,” the Armenian President’s message reads.

It goes on saying that Armenia stands by the Japanese people at this tragic moment and is ready to assist in liquidating the disaster consequences.

A massive tsunami triggered by Japan's most powerful earthquake in nearly a century on March 11 wrought devastation in northeast coastal Japan, sweeping away houses, ships and cars and set ablaze several buildings, killing over 300 people.
