Will Heritage leader stop hunger strike in near future?

PanARMENIAN.Net - A delegation of Armenian school students visited the leader of oppositional Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian, urging him to stop the hunger strike.“In near future, or maybe even tomorrow, I’ll be able to reply your question,” Hovannisian said.

He thanked the children for their visit, noting that the hunger strike aims to attract the attention of the authorities and the society to the situation in the country.

In conclusion, the Heritage leader called on the children to be true citizens of their country, stressing that they are the embodiment of the country’s future.

During the extraordinary congress of Heritage on March 15, Raffi Hovannisian urged Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to resign and thus to ensure fair and independent elections in the country. He also announced the start of “Hungry for Change: Freedom and Justice in Armenia” hunger strike and promised to coordinate his future steps with the party members.
