Armenia’s ruling party urges opposition to get prepared for regular elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - Member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia Artak Zakaryan urges the opposition to give up the talk about early elections and get prepared for the upcoming parliamentary election.

“Currently there are no reasons, which could force the authorities to hold pre-term elections,” Zakaryan told a press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, parallels should not be drawn between the situation in Armenia and events in the Arab states, since protests there are conditioned by energy, social, economic and food problems.

Meanwhile, one of the key demands of the Armenian National Congress is organization of pre-term parliamentary and presidential elections in the country.
