Pashinyan: ANC mission is leadership replacement through elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - The historic mission of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) lies in formation of a mechanism for replacement of leadership in Armenia through free, fair and transparent elections, according to ANC member, editor-in-chief of Haykakan Zhamanak daily.

As Nikol Pashinyan told a news conference in Yerevan, ANC mission won’t be completed until the authorities are chosen by free will of people, regardless of the politicians’ position.

When requested to comment on the fact that it was ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian himself initiated the practice of falsifying election results and refusing to transfer power, Pashinyan noted he’s interested in political future of Armenia rather than its past.
