Yerevan hosts Merci action to thank France for Genocide bill adoption

PanARMENIAN.Net - Political party members, as well as large number of Armenian citizens gathered in front of the French embassy building in Yerevan in gratitude for passage of the bill criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial, chanting “Vive la France” and patriotic songs.

French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud soon joined the activists, warmly welcoming all those present.

The Merci action was initiated jointly by ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and ARF Dashnaktsutyun.
