Armenia to celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on Sept.12

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross will be celebrated in Armenia on September 12 this year.

“A fraction of the Beam will be demonstrated to the faithful in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin on Sunday evening. The deceased will be commemorated the day following the feast,” Reverend Father Babken Hayrapetyan said.

Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is the last one of the five major feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is dedicated to the history of the return of the Holy Cross from imprisonment, its elevation and glorification. In the Armenian Apostolic Church the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is celebrated on Sunday during the period between September 11-17.
