Artsakh continues improving cities, developing agriculture – photo reportNovember 5, 2010 - 18:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesman for the NKR government Hrant Alexanyan said that several projects on construction, specifically, of residential houses in both Stepanakert and regional centers are implemented in NKR currently. Besides, small hydropower plants are constructed, as well as streets are improved in cities and towns of Artsakh, Alexanyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. According to him, the state is also interested in the development of agriculture. “Agriculture in NKR is subsidized by the state. We provide interest-free loans to farmers to increase milk, meat and vegetables production. Our main task is water. Thus, all the funds raised during the 2010 Telethon will be directed for the rehabilitation of water supply systems,” said Alexanyan. As for vulnerable groups of population, Alexanyan noted that they enjoy state privileges. “Families of soldiers killed in the national liberation war in 1991-1994 and veterans are provided with dwellings for free,” said Alexanyan.
