HSBC Bank Armenia to assist Khosrov reserve protection

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ceremony of signing of a memorandum between the Ministry of Nature Protection and HSBC Bank Armenia took place in Yerevan on December 14.

According to the document, HSBC Bank Armenia will allocate USD 30 thousand in 2010-2012 to improve eco-literacy and develop eco-tourism among the population.

“This is our first cooperation with a business entity to resolve ecological problems. And we are hopeful that it’s just the beginning,” Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan said after the signing ceremony.

“The bank sees the potential for preservation of nature and development of tourism in Armenia. We are glad to be a part of this program, the one like those HSBC Bank implements across the globe,” commented Irina Seylanyan, deputy CEO of HSBC Bank Armenia.
