Head of Mammography Center urges Armenian women to undergo annual exams

PanARMENIAN.Net - About 220000 women were examined at Armenian-American Health Center (Mammography Center) in the course of 13 years, Armenian-American Health Center director stated.

As Khachanush Hakobyan told a news conference in Yerevan, 30% of patients visit the Center for prophylactic purposes. “The majority of women tend to think they cannot possibly have a breast cancer. Yet, unfortunately, the disease doesn’t reckon with anything,” Mrs. Hakobyan noted.

She urged Armenian women to undergo mammography at least once a year, noting that the women from socially vulnerable families can undergo the examination for free.
