Japanese nuclear crisis not to affect Yerevan sushi barsMarch 28, 2011 - 18:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian lovers of sushi do not need to worry. The sushi bars in Yerevan do not import seafood from Japan, which introduced limitations on products supplies from regions neighboring with the crippled nuclear power plant. Though some countries have already banned import of seafood from Japan, due to which prices for sushi went up there, this will not anyhow affect Yerevan sushi bars. Representatives of these bars told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that they do not import products from Japan for making sushi, as it is a “costly affair” for owners of these bars. “We basically deliver products for sushi from Moscow,” they said. Armenian gourmands do not need to worry that radioactive dishes will be served to them, but on the other hand they need to think whether their favorite sushi has any common thing with Japan and, in general, of what it is made. Sushi is a traditional dish of the Japanese cuisine made of rice, seafood and other ingredients.
