Wrestler Yuri Patrikeyev wins silver medal at World Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 7, Armenia’s wrestler Yuri Patrikeyev (weight class 120kg), bronze winner of the Olympic Games in Beijing and European champion, won silver medal of the World Championships held in Moscow on September 6-12.

After four victories, Patrikeyev was defeated in the finals by Olympic Games champion Lopez (Cuba).

Yuri Patrikeyev told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that he is disappointed with the result. “It is very important for me that I enjoy the support of so many fans. My primary goal is to get prepared for 2012 Olympic Games,” said Patrikeyev.
