U.S. warns Ankara: "We do not wish to see Turkish Army in northern Iraq"

PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States Department of State warned Turkey that it does not wish to see a military operation conducted by the Turkish Armed Forces in north of Iraq. "We support the territorial integrity of Iraq. We do not want to see a Turkish military operation in north of Iraq," said Tom Casey, Spokesman for the U.S. Department of State, Turkish Radikal reported. Casey further stated that the U.S. was working with both the Turkish and Iraqi administrations to develop cooperation against the terrorist Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) based in northern Iraq.
