Tigran Torosyan expressed condolences to Gohar Gasparyan's relatives and admirers of her talent

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Parliament Speaker Tigran Torosyan expressed condolences to the relatives of world-famous opera singer Gohar Gasparyan, the RA NA Press Office reports. Particularly T. Torosyan's letter of condolence reads as follows, "With deep sorrow I learnt the news about the death of Gohar Gasparyan, National Artist of the USSR, "Mesrop Mashtots" order owner, professor of Yerevan Conservatory.



In the course of decades the singer, who was honored with the national title of "Armenian nightingale" brought glory to the Armenian song art with her unique voice. She was the best performer of vocal composition both of European and Armenian composers.



With Gohar Gasparyan's name are connected achievements of Armenian music art, which have already become classics. With her work she proved that perfection of human voice is endless.



Leaving the great stage, for a long time she has been working in the Yerevan Conservatory, passing secrets of her unique art to younger generation, which continued the mission of presenting the Armenian music art on the Armenian and world stages.



I express my condolences to Gohar Gasparyan's relatives, admirers of her talent and I am sure that the deep sorrow for her death will be compensated by her unforgettable works".



Gohar Gasparyan died May 16 in Yerevan. She was 83 years old. The singer, who had suffered from a cerebral stroke several years ago, was in the reanimation department of "Nairi" Medical Center during the recent days.
