Vofa Guluzade: United States to lay foundations of Azerbaijani-Armenian cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Currently, US demonstrates determination to find way towards Karabakh conflict settlement, and the superpower's desire is at least commendable, political scientist Vafa Guluzade said. "The upcoming meeting will lay the foundations of Azerbaijani-Armenian cooperation. It's the start of a long process which will produce tangible results provided Russia changes its attitude towards South Caucasus and frozen conflicts," the political scientist noted.

Mr. Guluzade does not anticipate essential progress. "The thing's that Karabakh conflict is not an issue pertaining only to Azerbaijan and Armenia. To move forward with the process it is first of all necessary for US and Russia to reach some agreement over conflict settlement," said Guluzade as quoted by 1news.az.
