Serzh Sargsyan: convergence with EU priority for Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - In the framework of a working visit to Belgium, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Mr. Stefan Fule.

“Convergence with the European Union is a priority for Armenia,” President Sargsyan said. “The Eastern Partnership initiative opened a new page in Armenia-EU relations.”

“Armenia prepares responsibly for the talks on association agreement with the EU and carries out the essential course of reform,” he said.

Visa regime relaxation was also in the focus of the meeting.

“Freedom of movement creates a good foundation for development of partner relations,” President Sargsyan said.
