Artsakh President holds meetings in U.S.

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 17, President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan left for the United States on a working visit to take part in the organizational activity of the Hayastan All-Armenian fund’s annual telethon.

On the next day, President Sahakyan met in Los Angeles representative of the Western USA Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) Avetik Izmirlian, the Central Committee's members Chris Guldjian and Varouzh Urfalyan, chair of the Armenian Relief Society of Western USA Arousyak Melkonian, Hamazgayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Society’s Western USA regional chair Viken Haboian and Homenetmen Western USA regional chairperson Garnik Abrahamian.

Artsakh-Diaspora relations, socioeconomic situation in the NKR, the current stage and prospects of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement were in the focus of the meeting.

Mr. Sahakyan also met with His Eminence Archbishop Moushegh Mardirosian, Representative of His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, members of the AAC Western Diocese central executive and religious councils, representatives of the local Armenian community, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the Artsakh Republic President.
